The Problem

Unsafe legacy gas distribution networks leak, resulting in explosions in homes and apartment buildings. Regulations in reaction to negative media on public injuries and death due to improper maintenance of utilities are in force and pending. Housing maintenance and building codes have and continue to establish standards for the installation and required designated locations of domestic carbon monoxide, smoke, and natural gas detectors.

The Solution

GasMarshal is based on a patented low power nondispersive infrared (NDIR) narrow band methane sensor, delivering accurate and maintenance-free operation for 10 years. The device is powered by battery or mains, with an enclosure suitable for universal mounting with an internal antenna for communication over cellular or radio networks. Visual and audible indication of alarm and device health ensure total reliability. Indoor or outdoor installation is accomplished without the need for calibration or special tools. Cloud based monitoring is available as an option.
