Road Surface Monitoring System

Road Surface Monitoring

Potholes may occur following utility works or after prolonged periods of snow or ice. Damage to vehicles or injury to pedestrians can result if the potholes are not repaired. Current methods for reporting potholes rely on members of the public, which is sporadic at best and doesn’t enable prioritizing of the worst potholes, or via city inspectors which is expensive, labor-intensive and unscalable.

Our Road Surface Monitoring System (RSMS) employs a combination of sensors to reliably detect and routinely report potholes or road surface problems that could cause damage to vehicles and affect traffic flow.
